History

Scrivner-Morrow Funeral Homes has been serving Central Missouri area families for years. We are honored to be a part of the rich history of this community and plan to be a part of it for many years to come.

Scrivner-Morrow Funeral Homes was first established in Versailles, Missouri, in 1952 by Jim and Honey Scrivner, and later in Stover and Russellville. For over half a century the firm was highly regarded for quality of service to residents of Cole and Morgan Counties. In 2005 the business entered its second generation of family ownership when their daughter, Jamie, and their son-in-law, Doug Morrow, purchased the business from the Scrivners. As the years passed, and with their grown children no longer living in the area, Jamie and Doug decided to take up residence in the original funeral home at Versailles. Wanting to continue the Russellville funeral home in private hands, they selected Kyle Trimble of Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home in Jefferson City, to be their successor, and on January 1, 2017, Kyle purchased the Scrivner-Morrow Funeral Home in Russellville.
